Co-director Airplane

Jacqui is a visual artist with expertise in story telling across a range of media. This involves the development and direction of the communications strategies for all Airplane projects. She has a background in art direction for design and advertising companies. She is an exhibiting visual artist with work in many collections. In 2005 Jacqui won the NZ Post Picture Book of the Year Award for Clubs; a Lolly Leopold Story, the LIANZA award for Illustrator of the Year and the Spectrum Print Award for Typographer of the Year.

Bruce Foster BE, MPhil
Co-director Airplane

Formerly a documentary photographer for a range of books and publications including National Geographic Magazine, Bruce now directs documentary and photography projects for Airplane Studios. He recently travelled to Beijing and Shanghai with Jacqui on a research grant from NZ Trade and Enterprise. Their research on cross-cultural communication is now being applied to a variety of projects.

Vicky Lord BDes (Hons)

Vicky’s responsibilities are print production, liaison with clients and suppliers, estimates and overall studio management. She has been with Airplane since 2002 and her understanding of the company together with her background as a graphic designer, makes for highly effective communications between clients and studio.
